Third grade Social Studies is the study of communities. We learn our Social Studies concepts during guided reading groups and SHARED reading time. During the month of September we will participate in COW DAY. Students will learn about different careers and how they relate to us. This month we will focus on understanding geography. Studying continents, oceans, and countries will be the focus along with some map reading skills, compass rose, cardinal and intermediate directions, and map keys. |
