I recevied my degree in Elementary Education from Sterling College in 2002. I started teaching at Sterling Grade School later that year as a member of the Title 1 staff. After two years in that position, I began teaching 4th grade. I received my Masters in Elementary Reading and Literacy in January 2007. I have been married 27 years to Kent who is a Business Development Officer for First Bank and is also a farmer. We have four children: Kole (and his wife Rachel) - a student at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Kramer - a junior at K-State, and Kash and Kinley - freshmen at Sterling High School. I am active in our church where I play the piano, sing, and teach Sunday School. Along with my love of music, I also like to spend time boating with my family.
