Title I Goals
The goals of Sterling Grade School in striving to meet the state's challenging standards will be to integrate
individual small group work and apply the comprehensive approach of strengthening achievement for all
students, as well as increasing student and parent commitment to school. This integration of strategies
and resources allows Title I to be a catalyst for comprehensive reading services.
Our school-wide program will include :
School-wide reform strategies that provide opportunities for all children.
Activities to ensure that students who experience difficulty mastering state standards and other concepts will be provided with effective, timely additional assistance.
Strategies to increase parental involvement.
Use of running records and assessments.
Professional development for all staff.
Instruction by highly qualified professional staff.
