Brennan Riffel is in his seventh year as principal of Sterling Grade School and is in his ninth year of administration at Sterling Schools, having served two years as Sterling Junior High School Principal and Activities Director. Prior to coming to Sterling he was the Assistant Principal and Athletic Director at Belle Plaine High School. Before becoming a principal, Mr. Riffel taught middle school and high school Social Studies in Liberal and Plains, Kansas. In addition, Mr. Riffel serves as the grade school curriculum director and is the Governor for Region 2 of the Kansas Association of Elementary School Principals. Mr. Riffel is also an assistant football coach for Sterling Junior High School and during the summer he teaches driver's education for Sterling High School. Mr. Riffel earned his BA in History/Government from Sterling College and his Masters of Educational Administration degree from West Texas A&M University. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family, along with fishing and hunting. Mr. Riffel's wife, Christy, teaches science at Sterling Junior High. She is also a Sterling College graduate, earning her BS in Biology. |
