Welcome to the 2011-2012 school year!  I look forward to meeting all of my students and to watching them learn and grow.  I am beginning my 15th year of teaching.  The first 5 years of my career, I taught K-3 Special Education in Sterling.  The remainder of the time, I’ve taught first grade. I absolutely love teaching kids this age and am continually amazed at what they learn each year.

I graduated from Sterling High School, attended Kansas State University for two years, and graduated from Sterling College. In 2005, I completed my Master's Degree in Education, with emphasis on early reading and literacy.

I am married to Clark, who farms, ranches, and loves to play golf. We are busy with three awesome children, Debi, Wyatt, and Waylon - the lights of our lives. In my spare time, I like to read, exercise, and scrapbook.
