Mrs. Schnurr is in her 8th year of teaching 2nd grade
at Sterling Grade School. Upon graduating from Sterling College
in 1997 and Hutchinson Community College in 1995, she worked for two years
with high risk students in the lower elementary classrooms at SGS. Previous
to attaining her education degree, she ran a day care in her home and helped
her husband with a registered Charlois herd and feeder pigs. She has
spent many years working with children in a variety of areas in her church
such as Sunday School teacher, Awana leader and director, nursery
worker, Bible school teacher, and Toddler Room Director.
Dan, her husband of 23 years, works as a Corrections
Manager at the Hutchinson Correctional Facility where he has been employed
for 21 years. They have 3 children: Ashley, who now resides in Wichita and recently married Tony; Dallas, a
junior at Sterling College; and Aspen, a sophomore at Sterling College. The Schnurr's moved to a farm in
the Sterling area about 12 years ago.
In her free time, Mrs. Schnurr likes to spend time with her family,
jog, walk, read, camp, and fish, fish, FISH!!!
