Mrs. Stout
Greetings from the country! I'm Debbie Stout and I teach Title I Math and Reading at Sterling Grade School. I graduated from Sterling College in 1977 with a B.A. in elementary education. I received my M.S. degree from Wichita State University in 1983 as a classroom reading specialist. After college, I taught third grade at Claflin Grade School. I then taught at Elreka Grade School, which is in the Haven district. It was about 99% Amish students and was a wonderful experience. After being out of teaching for twenty-one years, I'm now back in again and really enjoying it. I love working with young people.

Sam, my husband, has farmed in the Alden and Sterling area all his life. We have three children--Mason, a sophomore at Pittsburg State; Ashley, a senior at SHS; and Spencer, a sophomore at SHS. Mason is on the Pitt State cross country and track team. Ashley loves riding and showing her horse, Teddy, at AQHA shows around Kansas. Spencer gets a kick out of riding his motorcycle.
