5th Grade Buddies

|
Our class has been partnered up
with Mrs. Britton's 5th graders this year. We get together to
celebrate and to just be together sometimes. We've walked
together, read together, snacked together, and celebrated the 100th Day
of School together. We can definately say that together is fun!

Our
Army Buddy Jared
|
|
|
During
the school year we had the opportunity to adopt Army Specialist
Jared Bender. Jared is the son of Diane and Mike Bender from
right here in Sterling. Mrs. Bender was our Art teacher just two
short years ago. So we have been sending Jared cards,
emails, and we celebrated his 25th birthday for him.

She
brought cake and green (his favorite color) armbands so we could
remember him even when we're out of school playing. She also
brought legos. LOTS of legos! Mrs. Bender told us that
legos are one of Jared's very favorite toys from when he was our
age. So we played just like Jared and made some fun things for
him. We took pictures to send him.
