| Developmental Lessons Your counselor visits each classroom to teach lessons designed to support the goals of Sterling Grade School. These lessons are directed toward the development of positive attitudes about self and others and the acquisition of basic life skills such as how to make good decisions, resolve conflict, and cope with stress. Individual Counseling*
Your counselor visits with students about specific concerns, inviting them to explore alternatives and arrive at responsible solutions consistent with personal and family beliefs. |
Group Counseling*
Your counselor works with groups of students over a limited period of time. Group counseling provides students with the opportunity to explore common concerns, gain skills in problem-solving and goal setting, and lend support to each other. |
* Individual or group counseling will be started only upon parental request. |
