Students will examine parenting as a career and responsibility. Parental care, development, labor and birth will be studied, examining personal changes, financial obligations, and available support groups. Awareness of changing development needs and concerns for safety and wellness will be addressed. Childcare as a viable career will be researched. Several field trips will enhance this course.
