A native of Great Bend, I attended Barton County Community College and Kansas State University. I taught two years at Ruppenthal Middle School in Russell, one year at Nickerson High School and am presently in my 24th year at Sterling Secondary Schools. I have been married for 25 years and have three children--Mallory, a senior at FHSU, Janel, a sophomore at SHS, and Keaton, an 8th grader at the middle school. I enjoy attending sporting events of my children, but I also sponsor FCCLA (Family Career and Community Leaders of America), a student organization that sponsors activities such as: Big Buddy and Powder Puff.
