We are embarking on a new adventure -- book discussion blogs! If you'd like to sign up, see Mrs. Brownlee (you'll need a password). If you've already signed up, see the guidelines below. Happy reading, and happy blogging!

The blog we're using is created especially for teachers and students. It allows us to keep information private in a password-protected environment. Student comments must be approved by the teacher before they are posted. These features make the blog ideal for the school setting. SJH students are currently reading and blogging on Steal Away Home by Lois Ruby and Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli.

Thanks for signing up for the SJH Book Discussion Blog. You can access our blog from any computer with Internet access. Here's what to do:

Go to www.classblogmeister.com .
You need to log in on the right side of the screen under “View or Edit a Blog.”

Name or E-mail: (see Mrs. Brownlee for name and password info)

Click enter.

3. This is your blog page. To write your own comments, click “articles.” Other SJH students signed up for our book discussion blog will be able to read and comment on your articles.

4. To get to my blog, click on teacher: Amy Brownlee . A white screen will ask for the class password. It is:

5. Read articles. If you want to add a comment, click “comment.” Enter your first name and your comment (other boxes can be left blank). Click submit. Comments will go to the teacher for approval before they are published.

REMINDERS

We want our blog to be fun, but remember that you need to follow our school's acceptable use policy. Our blog needs to follow the highest standards in quality and safety.

• Make sure what you say is appropriate for school.

• Take care to make statements that are true and accurate.

• Only use first names to refer to students.

Any comments or articles will go to the teacher first for approval before being published. Misuse of the blog will result in removal from the blog class list and possible disciplinary action from the principal.
