The 2020 Sterling Invitational Tournament right around the corner. Teams participating in this year's boys and girls tournament are Kingman, Smoky Valley, Lyons, Russel, Hutchinson Trinity-Catholic, Hugoton, and SE of Saline to go along with the SHS Black Bears.
The Lady Bears look to continue their winning ways in the tournament. They are the #1 seed and will face Kingman on Tuesday, January 21st at 6:00 pm in the Ora Shields Activity Center. With a victory, the ladies would play on Thursday at 4:30 pm against either Hugoton or Smoky Valley in OSAC.
The Black Bears are off of to a good start this season. They find themselves the #3 seed in the Sterling Invitational. The boys will open up against, former CKL rival, Smoky Valley at 7:30 pm on Monday, January 20th in the Gleason Center, on the campus of Sterling College. A win against Smoky Valley would have the Black Bears playing on Thursday at 7 pm against the winner of Monday's first game between Lyons and Russell. The semi-final match up would be at Sterling College as well.
Admission for the Sterling Invitational is $7 for adults and $5 for students. All of the games will be streamed by 3BN and available on the Sterling Invitational Tournament website. For those interested in viewing each of the brackets, click on the links provided below.
