The Rice County Health Department is asking all residents that take a cruise, travel to another country, or travel to a domestic hot spot to self quarantine in their home upon returning to Rice county. "Self quarantine" means staying in your house or yard and not having close (within 6 feet) interactions with other people. Anyone developing a fever, cough, or shortness of breath during the 14 days should contact the health department to determine next steps which may include a test for covid-19. The health department would also appreciate it, if you have plans for such a trip, to notify them when you return so they can give support, and help monitor during the quarantine period.
