Congratulations to Madison Lackey, Ashlyn Spangenberg, Riley Richter, Megan Roelfs, Abby Riffel and Courtney Ball for winning the second annual Courage in Journalism award from the Kansas Scholastic Press Association! They exemplify the independent thinking and pursuit of passion that we strive to develop in all of our students. Civil discourse seems to be a dying art in our society.  I respect the way our students developed their arguments and forwarded their agenda in a positive way. I hope hope that when final plans are made and classes are scheduled for next year we are able to maintain a program that continues to develop journalists like these six young ladies.
