It is that time of the fall when graduates from recent and distant times return to Sterling and enjoy homecoming festivities. The 2021 Fall Homecoming celebration has been announced and culminates with the Black Bears hosting their former CKL rival Hillsboro Trojans. The game is scheduled for Friday, September 24th, and will kick off around 7 pm at Smisor Stadium on the campus of Sterling College.
Prior to kickoff, the King and Queen candidates will be introduced and the event will culminate with the crowning of the King and Queen. The ceremony is scheduled to start at 6:40 pm. The SHS candidates for Queen are Lacey F., Makenna L., and Sadie B. The King candidates are Kaz C., Noah S., and Zach S.
Over the days leading up to the ceremony, SHS students will be able to participate in different spirit events each day. Those daily spirit events are:
Monday: Pajama Day
Tuesday: Twin Day
Wednesday: Western Day
Thursday: College Gear Day
Friday: Black Bear Pride Day and Pep assembly
Saturday: Homecoming Dance
