SGS Halloween Parade

The annual Sterling Grade School Halloween parade will be held Friday, October 29th, weather permitting. We are going to parade counterclockwise around Sterling Lake and then return to school.  We will start with Pre-school classes at 2:00 pm and dismiss by grade level. The afternoon Preschool students in the parade will get to ride the Sterling Chamber of Commerce train. Students will be leaving the school and will head south on 5th street across the footbridge to the lake. The parade is open to the public and spectators are encouraged to park around the lake and watch the kids as they parade counterclockwise around the lake.  Please be sure to keep a safe distance from the kids. The costume parade is available to all students. If any parent would prefer that their child not participate in the parade, simply notify your teacher so that arrangements can be made. Traditional costumes are welcome. Simple and home-made ideas are also encouraged. Weapons should not be a part of the costume and please refrain from using grotesque or bloody makeup in your child’s costumes. The school will have the final say on costume appropriateness and what will be allowed in the parade.  We look forward to a fun fall celebration.
