Help Wanted

We are in desperate need of substitute teachers! We have very few subs on our list this year and we are concerned about a severe  staffing shortage in the coming weeks. If you have at least 60 hours of college credit, becoming a substitute is easy! The KSDE license application and additional information can be found here.   The application is completed online and we will reimburse you for the $60 application fee and $50 KBI fingerprint/background check fee on your first paycheck (after subbing at least one day).  The district's application is here and can be emailed to kuhna@usd376.com or delivered to the board office at 308 E. Washington.  You can choose the days and times that you are available, and the grade levels you are willing to work with. Substitutes earn $100/day or $50/half day.

Working as a substitute in Sterling is a fun way to earn some extra money and help out your community. The kids in our district are great to work with and your time in our classrooms may be the difference between Sterling Schools staying in session and having to close due to staffing shortages.

If you have any questions or would like help with the licensure application process contact Jim Goracke at gorackej@usd376.com or 620-278-3621.
