The 2026 Sterling Invitational Basketball Tournament takes place this week. The Black Bears have earned the top seed, while the Lady Bears are the third seed. Both teams will open tournament play on Tuesday, January 20th.
The Lady Bears will open up the SIT, facing the Lyons Lions at 6 pm at Sterling High School. With a win, the ladies would play on Thursday at 6 pm against the winner of Tuesday's Hugoton-Kingman matchup. To keep up on scores from each of the girls' games, visit the Invitational Scoreboard.

The Black Bears will face Kingman in their opening round of the SIT on Tuesday at 7:30 pm in the Gleason Center on the campus of Sterling College. With a win, the boys would play on Thursday at 7:30 pm against the winner of the Lyons-Scott City game. To follow the boys' game scores, be sure to visit their invitational scoreboard.
