Congrats to Senior Pitcher Shklar Olsen as she earned her 350th strikeout last night in game #1 vs Ell-Saline. She will be attempting to add to that total on Monday, May 19th, as the Sterling Black Bears play the Ellinwood Eagles in the first round of the 2-1A KSHSAA Softball Quarterfinals at 3:00 pm in Bennington.

5th Grade Annual IDIDAPROB 2025. According to tradition going back nearly 40 years, the fifth graders participated in their annual Ididaprob bike ride. This was a 10-12 mile ride. The kids were placed on a team with an adult guide (think amazing race). Every 2-3 miles they stopped at a checkpoint to solve math problems that guided them to the next checkpoint. Thank you to Mr. Wilson, Mrs. Morris and the parents who participated and led the groups of 5th graders on their 12 mile amazing race. We can't do this type of activity without the support of our parents and community. It's a great time to be a BLACK BEAR! Great job 5th graders.

Looking for all Pre-School students that will be 3 or 4 years old before August 31st, 2025. Call for an enrollment appointment to pre-enroll for Sterling Grade School's 2025-2026 Pre-School. Appointment times available are from 8:00-8:30am on May 7th, 8th , 13th, 14th and 15th. This enrollment appointment will be for 3 or 4 yr. old identified students currently on an educational plan, 3 or 4 yr. old students who may qualify for at-risk, or 4 yr. old students who will be placed on the peer model waiting list.

2025 Sterling Volleyball Camps are as follows: SHS Team Camp: May 27-31 Tues, Wed, Fri 5:30 - 8:00 pm, Thur. noon - 2:00 pm, Sat 9-11 am; JH Camp: May 27-30, 3:30 - 5:30 pm; Elementary Camp: May 27-30, 2:00 - 3:30 pm.
