The Rice County Arts Council is hosting an art show at Studio 96 this week. It will be featuring works of area high school students. The Mattson Gallery will be open from 9:30-6:00 March 20-24 and 9:30-12:00 on Saturday the 25th. Please stop by to see some of our students great work!

Sub-State Semifinals in Ora Shields are set. Boys play Thursday evening, with Moundridge and Inman in the 6:00 game, while Sterling and Ellinwood will play at 7:30. Friday evening is the girls' turn, with Berean and Moundridge at 6:00, followed by Remington vs. Inman.

Today there have been hoax 911 "swatting" calls reporting fake active shooters in school buildings in several cities across Kansas and other midwest states . The KBI is investigating and we have been in contact with local law enforcement to make sure we are on the same page. It doesn't appear that there has been an attack anywhere in the country today, but we will be extra vigilant.
Sterling Junior High Band and Choir students are in St. John today performing in their Annual Music Festival. We are posting ensemble and large group performance videos to our Facebook page. We will update those posts with ratings as they are posted. #WeAreSterling
