Both a welcome as a teacher and a welcome back as an SHS alum, this staff spotlight features Mr. Dave Wilson. After a successful run as a business leader here in Sterling, Dave is teaching English and will also serve as our head coach for Debate and Forensics. #WeAreSterling


Tonight during the Fall Sports Preview we will have one of our new electric school buses on display. The buses and chargers were paid for through an EPA grant. They have been a great addition to the fleet, and the AC has been a blessing this week during the hot afternoon routes!

The schedule for Saturday's high school volleyball matches in Ell-Saline has changed. Please be aware that starting at 9:00 it will be varsity, followed by JV, then a second varsity match followed by a C match after.

Sterling High School was named a Finalist for the 2023-23 KSHSAA Performing Arts School of the Year. This is the third time SHS has been honored as a finalist, while being named to the commended list twice and winning the award in 2020-21. https://5il.co/22smv #WeAreSterling


As the weather continues to stay dangerously hot this week, we will monitor and adjust practice times for our sports as needed. Coaches will be in contact with each individual sport, and we will try to get the changes out in a timely manner. We apologize for any inconvenience, but we want to keep our student athletes safe.
