For the upcoming 2023-2024 school year, Sterling Grade School will be offering an at risk, special education preschool program for 3-year-olds. Applicants must be located in the district and be 3 years of age by August 31st. Applicants must qualify under the Kansas State Department of Education At-Risk guidelines or be in need of special education services. Applications can be picked up from the Sterling Grade School Office or you can come to enrollment on August 9th from 3:00-6:00 to see if your child qualifies for services. Substituting at Sterling Public Schools is a fun and rewarding way to make good money! We pay $110 per day to work with our great kids. Anyone with 60 hours of college credit can apply for an emergency substitute teaching certificate. You can choose the days and times that you are available. Even if you are only available a few days a week in the afternoon you would be a big help subbing in classes when our coaches have to leave for competitions. Online enrollment for Sterling schools is now open. If your child is new to the district or going into preschool or kindergarten, you must come to in person enrollment. In person enrollment for JH and HS students will be Tuesday, August 8th from 4-6 pm at the high school commons. The grade school will be on August 9th from 3-6 pm in the grade school commons.
