Sterling Public Schools will be closed tomorrow, Monday January 6th, due to the weather. There will be no activities or practice. Stay safe and warm at home!

We are getting kids back into SJSHS and they are being released. If you are picking kids up they will be ready to go within 10 minutes. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Black Hills technicians did not detect natural gas in the building. As soon as they complete a pressure test we will have students come in to get their personal items and be released for break. We hope they will be ready to go by 12:30, but they may be dismissed a little late. They were able to enjoy our last day with our Bear Cubs at SGS!

During a scheduled inspection by the Kansas fire marshal's office, the inspector felt like there may be the odor of natural gas. In abundance of caution, we have evacuated the building and moved students to Sterling Grade School. Black Hills is coming to test for natural gas and upon declaring the building safe, students will be brought back to the building to finish our last day before Christmas break.

Congrats Mr. Comley and Easton for a good well done! Your kind heart shines through!
