We host the Sterling Relays Track Meet on Thursday, April 24th and we are asking for help running off the field events. If you would like to help as an event judge or event helper please let me know. All field events, except the javelin, begin at 3:00 pm. The boys and girls javelin start at 2:30 pm. We could use all the help we can get!

Sterling Schools is looking for a part time administrative assistant to work in the district office. The position will be a half time 12 month position, with possible additional hours up to full time depending on the successful applicant’s skills and experience. The summer months of June, July and August are the busiest time in the district office, and there may be additional hours needed over the summer.
The general duties will be:
Administrative assistant to the superintendent
Treasurer
*Reconcile bank statements
*Accounts payable
Transportation Secretary
*Maintaining vehicle and bus schedules
Possible additional duties:
Data entry, and working with our student information system
Public relations tasks, such as updating social media, creating news articles, etc.
Pay rate will range from $17.00-$20.00 per hour. Benefits include KPERS retirement, paid sick leave and vacation, and contribution to health insurance. SHS Baseball at Minneapolis has been rescheduled to Thursday, April 24th at 4:00 pm
Last Friday morning Chelsie Brown received her official Athlete of the Week plaque and HutchCC swag bag. Chelsie was an Athlete of the Week recipient back in October. Congrats Chelsie!
Baseball scheduled at Minneapolis today, Friday, April 4th has been postponed to a date yet to be determined.
HS Track practice scheduled for today, Friday, April 4th is optional. Coach Wilson has emailed all HS track athletes with more details.
JH Track practice scheduled for today, Friday, April 4th has been cancelled.
Junior High tennis scheduled for today, Friday, April 4th in Sterling has been postponed to a later date.

There will be a Sterling HS Softball Parent Meeting Friday after practice at 6:00 pm in the South Gym.
We are getting ready for our spring activities and are needing help in running off field events at our track meets. The Rice County Arts Council announces the 2025 High School Art Show featuring students from Little River, Lyons, and Sterling High Schools. The show will be hung in The Mattson Art Gallery at Studio 96 in downtown Sterling and run March 24-29th. Gallery hours are M-F 9:30-6:00 and Saturday 9:30-noon.
