Dear SGS Parents,
Today at 2:15 pm we are having our "opening ceremonies" as part of our own SGS Winter Olympics. The opening ceremony is not open to the public but you can view it live on our own 3BN Network today. Each classroom has selected a country that is competing in the Winter Olympics and students are learning about those countries in their classrooms. Students will also be participating in our own SGS Winter Olympic events in their PE classes with events such as bobsledding, curling, speed skating, the luge, and ski jumping. (Special thanks to our PE teacher, Ms. Susan Brown.) It should be a fun and educational time for our students! Our opening ceremony will involve each class presenting their country and will be recognized as SGS Olympians. You can view it at www.shsblackbears.com. Our SGS Winter Olympics will conclude with closing ceremonies on February 25th. Be sure to cheer on our SGS Olympians!
