Thursday, February 13 is VIP day for grades K-2. Any Very Important Person to a Kindergarten, 1st, or 2nd grade student is invited to eat lunch with them. Adult meal cost is $3.75 and reservations are needed by Monday, February 10th. The menu is homemade chili & cinnamon rolls.

All of the junior high basketball games tonight will be played at Remington Middle School which is in Whitewater. Not at the high school. The schedule is 3:00- 1/2 C girls, 3:30- 1/2 C boys, 4:00- B girls, 5:00- B boys, 6:00- A girls and 7:00- A boys.
Congratulations to Kailyn for winning the 2020 Rice County Spelling Bee. She moves on to the Kansas State Spelling Bee to be hosted at Newman University in Wichita.
The 3rd grade Kansas Day program has been rescheduled for February 7th at 10:15 in the SGS Commons. There will also be a 1:00 performance at Sterling Village that day.

League scholars bowl scheduled for this afternoon at Ell-Saline has been postponed until next Wednesday the 29th.
Due to road conditions Sterling Schools will open 2 hours late and buses will run routes.
Dental screenings for grades 7-12 will be held on January 27-31, 2020. Please send a note to the school if you do not want your child to participate. Prairie Star Health Center will also offer additional services. Teeth cleanings, sealants and fluoride treatments will be available. To participate in these additional services a consent will need to be turned in. Consents are also available in the office. This is a great opportunity to get preventative dental services.
There will be a special Board Meeting on Wednesday, January 22nd, at 5:00 PM in the Sterling High School library.
