To allow all coaches and immediate family members of our athletes to attend the state basketball game on Thursday, we will be dismissing all students at 12:30. Additionally, if the girls win Wednesday afternoon we will cancel school for the scheduled half day on Friday.
The Lady Black Bears will get state week going tomorrow afternoon at 2:00 in Bramlage Coliseum. Tickets are available online for $11 and $8 at kstatesports.com or you may purchase them at the gate for $10 and $7 on game day.
For the third year in a row, both Girls' & Boys' Basketball Teams are Sub-State Champions and headed to the State Tournament this week. Come join us for a Community Pep Rally tomorrow evening (Tuesday, March 8, 5:30 PM) in the Ora Shields Activity Center. #WeAreSterling

Sterling Public Schools will open two hours late tomorrow, Monday March 7th due to continuing snowfall. There will be no AM preschool.
Schedules have been released for 2A State Basketball this week. The Girls' Squad is the 1-seed and will kick off 2A play against Mission Valley at 2:00 on Wednesday. The Boys drew the #6 seed and will face Lyndon in quarterfinal play on Thursday at 4:00. Stay tuned for more info.
The black bears are in the finals of substate!! The lady’s will tip things off at 5:30 followed by the boys. Come out to Sublette and support our bears. And if you can’t, catch Brian and Clark on the 3BN network. The pep bus will leave from the high school at 2:00.
Tonight’s boys game will be at 6:00 in Sublette. The website shows an old bracket that is incorrect. All games tonight and tomorrow will be broadcast on 3BN.
JH students are at the St. John Music Festival today. We will be sharing performances of ensembles and large groups via Facebook (facebook.com/sterlingusd376) as they happen. And don’t worry if you miss one, they will still be there later.
The high school boys and girls basketball teams finish up there home games this week with opening round sub state games. The girls will play Monday at 6:00 and the boys Tuesday at 6:00. Admission is $7 for adults and $5 for students. Only KSHSAA passes will be accepted.
Congratulations to Porter Anderson (8) who won the Rice County Spelling Bee earlier today. Porter’s win qualifies him for the State Bee in Wichita on March 26. Way to go Porter! #WeAreSterling

Nathaniel Dold won his quarterfinal and semifinal matches today in the Hillsboro Regional Wrestling Tournament and will wrestle for the championship later this afternoon. He has already secured a berth in next weekend’s State Meet in Hays! #WeAreSterling
Next Tuesday at SGS-We are going to have "TOO crazy" day on 2/22/22! Spread the word and tell your students to wear crazy clothes! Crazy hair, crazy socks, mismatched clothes, backwards clothes, clothes with "two" "to" or "too"...Whatever is "too crazy!"
