August AR winners were treated to lunch by our local Gambino's Pizza today. These winners' tickets were drawn from each grade level. They earn 1 ticket for every AR point they receive. AR points are awarded by reading and assessing what they learned from their library book. Sterling Grade School and Sterling College team up together for Warrior Wednesdays. Sterling College athletes will be spending time at SGS on Wednesdays. Yesterday the soccer teams welcomed students as they came into the building.
Congrats to the Sterling High School Fine Arts Students and Staff for being recognized by the KSHSAA as 1 of the 18 schools across Kansas to earn the Commended Schools for the Performing Arts Schools of Excellence Award. Leaders from the Kansas Music Educators Association, Kansas Thespians and Kansas Speech Communication Association along with the KSHSAA staff collaborated to discuss numerous high schools that scored exceptionally high in debate, speech, music, and theater during the 2023-24 school year. Great job Sterling High School Fine Arts Students and Staff!!!
