Sub-State Semifinals in Ora Shields are set. Boys play Thursday evening, with Moundridge and Inman in the 6:00 game, while Sterling and Ellinwood will play at 7:30. Friday evening is the girls' turn, with Berean and Moundridge at 6:00, followed by Remington vs. Inman.
Today there have been hoax 911 "swatting" calls reporting fake active shooters in school buildings in several cities across Kansas and other midwest states . The KBI is investigating and we have been in contact with local law enforcement to make sure we are on the same page. It doesn't appear that there has been an attack anywhere in the country today, but we will be extra vigilant.
Sterling Junior High Band and Choir students are in St. John today performing in their Annual Music Festival. We are posting ensemble and large group performance videos to our Facebook page. We will update those posts with ratings as they are posted. #WeAreSterling

Dental screenings for Sterling Grade School will be held on February 28th.
Please send a note to the school if you do not want your child to participate.
Teeth cleanings, sealants and fluoride treatments will be available. To participate in these additional services, we need a completed consent form turned into the office. Prairie Star will bill all insurances for additional services. Consent forms were sent home and are also available in the SGS office. Optional cleanings for the Grade School will be March 1-2. Consent forms need to be turned into the office by February 24nd.
