The doubles team of Karissa Wilson and Kate Rowland are into the quarterfinals at 3-2-1A Tennis in Maize after a pair of straight-set victories over duos from Hesston HS and Wichita-Collegiate. They will play one more match yet this evening. #WeAreSterling

For those attending the football game tonight, please be aware that parking will be very chaotic. It is college homecoming this weekend. Tonight there will be a football game, musical, alumni games and soccer games happening on the SC campus. Please obey all traffic and parking laws and plan accordingly.
We want to wish Kate, Sunny, Karissa, Kelsey, Coach Thompson, and Coach Proffit the best of luck at State Tennis. The team will be playing at Maize South today. Good luck ladies!

Yesterday we had two staff members test positive at SJSHS and 2 students test positive at SGS. This brings the total of active cases to 10 at SJSHS and 2 at SGS.
At SJSHS we currently have 69 close contacts. 26 are vaccinated and attending with a mask, 34 are participating in Test to Stay and Play, and 9 are attending remotely.
The Sterling Grade School Hootenanny will be held today for grades K-4 during their PE/Music times. Students will load at the grade school and ride down to the High School practice field and then return back to SGS.
Today, October 6th we were notified of one positive at the junior high and one positive at the high school. All close contacts have been contacted. There are currently eight active cases at SJSHS.
Today, October 5th we were notified of two positive students at the junior high. We were also notified on Sunday the 3rd of a positive staff member. No additional close contacts were identified. There now 6 active cases at SJSHS.
