We are looking forward to the first day of school tomorrow and seeing our kids! When you arrive at school on Monday with your student please do not park right in front of the Kindergarten (West) doors. A good place to park would be on the north or south or sides of the school if you are bringing your student to school. Once you approach the school, you will see a screening station. Your child will have their temperature taken with a touchless thermometer that can read their forehead. If they have a temperature of 100.3 or less, they will be allowed to enter the school. As a safety precaution, parents will not be allowed to enter the building with their student but parents may come to the office through the main entrance if you need anything. Remember to have your student wear their mask! We are looking forward to a great school year! Doors will unlock at 7:45. Please do not arrive earlier than that. Also, the playground will be closed in the mornings. Once students enter the school, they will need to report directly to their classrooms.
● PreK-2nd grade will enter through the west doors by the Kindergarten room.
● Grades 3-4 will enter through the main doors.
● Grades 5-6 will enter through the north doors.
● Bus riders will enter through the east doors.
● Breakfast eaters will report to the cafeteria but will take their breakfast and eat in their classrooms.
Remember that the first day we will dismiss at 12:30. Lunch will be served. We are looking forward to a great day!

Tomorrow is Day One of what we hope will be 175 days of school (minus a snow day or two). AT SJSHS just 7th, Freshman, and new students. SGS has everyone arriving.
I've attached the map for SJSHS designating the two entry points available. Have a great year!

Dear Kindergarten Parent(s),
We wanted to let you know about some procedures that will be unique to Kindergarteners that first day of school. You may have read that we are not able to allow parents into the building except for the main office. However, we know that Kindergarten parents want to see their student go into their classroom and that first day can be overwhelming for both the student and the parent! We have made it possible for Kindergarten parents to walk with your student right up to the classroom. Just bring your Kindergartener to the south side of the building outside the Kindergarten classrooms. The Kindergarten classrooms have back doors to the classrooms that you will be able to use those first two days. This will allow you to bring your child right up to the classroom and you can see them go into their classroom and find their seat. When you arrive at school on Monday with your student please do not park right in front of the Kindergarten (West) doors. A good place to park would be on the south side of the school. Once you approach the school, you will see a screening station. Your child will have their temperature taken with a touchless thermometer that can read their forehead. If they have a temperature of 100.3 or less, they will be allowed to enter the school. School is dismissed at 12:30 that first day. School will be dismissed on a staggered schedule. Kindergarten students who are not riding the bus will be dismissed at 12:29. If you are picking up your child please be outside the west doors to receive your student at that time. Remember to have your student wear their mask! We are looking forward to a great school year!

This is a reminder for any junior high or high school athlete. You will be required to wear a mask to practices that start tomorrow, August 17th. Masks need to be worn into the building, locker rooms and to practice. At practice you will be required to wear them during meeting or instruction time, but will be allowed to take them off during drills and strenuous activity. The school will have masks to provide if students show up without one. We are looking forward to fun and successful seasons!! Go bears!!
